This page is intended to present details about my Literary Narrative Essay.
My class’ prompt for this essay was to “write a narrative essay about a significant event or experience that demonstrates how your identity affects or has affected your relationship with literacy or vice versa; or a parallel experience you share with a literary character, how this experience changed you and your perspective, as well as a comparison of your response to that of the chosen character.”
In my essay, I had used my personal experiences and how that has shaped who I am as a reader. In order to organize my essay coherently, I had my essays rough draft edited and revised by my peers and my teacher in order to understand what I was missing in my essay. Through their critiques, I was able to make my final essay a bit better.

“I am no Ms. Marvel or Malala Yousafzai. I am just a normal girl who wears the hijab. I am no survivor or fighter. I am just a girl who wants to live her life in a stereotypical world. I am just a girl. I am no Linda Sarsour. I am just me.”
